• Hyster-Yale was awarded a 2024 Bronze Medal medal by EcoVadis, a rating agency specializing in sustainability and corporate social responsibility. The recognition places Hyster-Yale among the top 35% of 130,000+ companies globally assessed by EcoVadis, highlighting its dedication to sustainable practices and continuous improvement.
$ Loadar has raised a $4 million seed funding round, led by Frontline Ventures with follow-on participation from existing investor Techstart Ventures. The company will use the funds to grow headcount and expand to the United States. $ Cofactr, a supply chain and logistics management platform for critical hardware manufacturers, closed its $17.2 million Series A funding round. The raise was led by Bain Capital, and joined by existing seed investors Y Combinator, Floating Point Ventures, Broom and DNX. The new investment brings Cofactr’s total funding to $28.8 million. $ Embotech, which provides autonomous driving solutions for industrial logistics, has received approximately $27 million in Series B funding to help scale its automated vehicle marshaling and autonomous terminal tractor solutions in Europe, and ultimately in the United States, Middle East, and Asia. $ RJW Logistics Group received a strategic investment from private equity firm Berkshire Partners that will enable it to drive future innovations and expand its geographic reach. $ HappyRobot, which provides AI-powered voice solutions for the logistics sector, secured $15.6 million in Series A funding.
• PortPro, which provides transportation software for the drayage industry, ranked #84 on the 2024 Deloitte Technology Fast 500. The company has achieved 1,600% growth between 2020 and 2023.
• The Chamber of Shipping of America (CSA) recently honored 101 Crowley- operated vessels and their crews with Environmental Achievement Awards, recognizing the company and its people for safe environmental operations. The CSA's award honors vessels that maintain an exemplary safety record, free from reportable spills, U.S. Coast Guard environmental citations or other pollution incidents.
• The Containerization & Intermodal Institute presented the Connie Award to Allen Cliord, executive vice president of MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company (USA) and the Lifetime Achievement Award to Cliord Pyron, advisor at Georgia Ports Authority.
• Bethann Rooney, port director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, was named the 2025 Person of the Year by the New York/New Jersey Foreign Freight Forwarders and Brokers Association. The award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the global trade, logistics, and transportation industries.
• 3M, known for its iconic brands including Post-it Notes and Scotch Tape, awarded Dayton Freight Line with its 2024 Silver Award. 3M presents this award to top carriers based on revenue, on-time delivery percentage, contract adherence and claims ratio.
