3rd Party Warehouse Provider Needed! We Need a Proven Leader in Warehouse & Logistics Management
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (The T) relies on efficient, expert management of our critical parts and inventory. That’s why we are issuing an RFP for a highly qualified provider to manage our central warehouse and numerous stockroom facilities. ARE YOU THE RIGHT PARTNER? We are seeking a provider with a demonstrated track record in: Comprehensive Warehouse & Distribution Management: Operating our 200,000-sq-ft West Bridgewater main warehouse and 15 stockrooms across the Greater Boston area. Operational Excellence: Overseeing receiving, put-away, order pick & pack, product returns, and ensuring 24/7 emergency material availability. Expert Inventory Control: Implementing and managing min/max programs, cycle counts, and efficient inventory consolidation for standard palletized products. Workforce Leadership: Requires a dedicated team of 8 non-union management and 45 union workers (Machinist Union Local 264), including warehouse staff and local delivery drivers. Safety & Compliance: Ensuring all operations meet stringent OSHA and MBTA Safety Right of Way (ROW) standards. Local Delivery Expertise: Managing contractor-provided vehicles (cargo vans, cars, 24’ medium-duty box trucks) for local deliveries.
