Overcoming Geopolitical Uncertainty and Turning Challenges into Opportunities

Q What are the biggest challenges facing the freight market? A The most obvious answer is the ever- changing geopolitical landscape. Globally there have been some headwinds in the trade routes, with many ocean carriers shifting how they operate. Taris have certainly forced many to shift aspects of their supply chain or for some, unfortunately, halt operations altogether until there is more clarity into the best path forward. Forecasts by major companies have been shelved, with the ripple eects felt by many. Domestically, the trucking boon of 2-3 years ago seems to be contracting, but there continues to be a shortage of experienced and qualified drivers. Some legislation has been proposed to ease those concerns, allowing younger individuals to enter the market and oset some of that demand—so not all bad news! Q What are some notable market shifts and opportunities? A Many consumers of raw and finished commodities continue to search for alternative sources—enter Latin and South America. These channels heading both north and south are becoming more favorable than ever. The border between Mexico and the United States has seen its challenges, but infrastructure updates and private interest will provide an improvement in e“ciency of goods moving in and out. Despite these challenges, here at The Logistix Company we see these times as opportunities to tap into our very diverse partner portfolio

and lean on the experience of our team to provide the most competitive oerings possible. Many of our customers have thrived due to our ability to shift to a changing freight landscape. Unlike many 3PLs, The Logistix Company isn’t pigeonholed into one mode of transportation and can look at each opportunity with a unique lens. Q Why does The Logistix Company have a bright outlook? A The Logistix Company is extremely unique: We are able to handle a wide variety of transportation capabilities. From the largest ocean vessel down to an LTL parcel, and everything in between, if it is moving over the road, ocean, or air, we have plenty of partners to assist along the way. We work with a whole network or warehouses and transload sites to ensure our customers’ products are given the attention that is required, especially when dealing with food grade as well as hazardous material. The carriers we utilize are deeply vetted to ensure the appropriate insurance coverages and expertise meet our critical standards. The Logistix Company takes great pride that when you reach out you are met with a prompt response from a direct member of our team. In today’s climate where more and more companies are being turned into massive conglomerates, hearing a human on the line with knowledge of your situation means the world to our customers. With decades of experience in our back pocket there isn’t a logistical hurdle we can’t clear.
