Since becoming a SmartWay partner in 2004, Averitt reduced CO2 emissions by 36% and NOX emissions by 84%, saving over 5.4 million gallons of diesel fuel. Averitt’s vehicles utilize ultra-low-sulfur diesel, and the company employs auxiliary power units and idle reduction strategies to minimize fuel consumption. NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENT Averitt Express recycles 90,994 gallons of oil and repurposes 28,571 tires each year.
