Gartner has released its Global Supply Chain Top 25 list and this year’s top spot goes to Cisco Systems for the third consecutive year. The firm was ranked tops largely as a result of its adaptability. Each year, Gartner researches the supply chains of hundreds of companies and scores them using a mix of quantitative (financials, ESG) and qualitative (community opinion) data. The top performers oer valuable lessons in supply chain excellence, including the value of developing self-stabilizing supply chains and creating supply chain ecosystems. “Cisco continues to adapt in various ways to the changing environment, and its supply chain moves in alignment,” notes Mike Griswold, vice president team manager with the Gartner Supply Chain practice.
